Here's my celebration: I just had my first design submission accepted by Knit Picks!! Last year, I sent off to a few “calls for submission” to various places, but after they were all refused (which I know happens) I decided maybe I should just concentrate on self-publishing for a while.
When I explained the whole submission process to my…[Read more]

Deb and I have made contact in two ways: Dropbox (should she need to use it) and via email. I haven't a clue why it didn't come through, but that, thankfully, is out of my hands! Thanks so much for reaching out again.

Here's the link to the yarn unboxing. (I'm posting it separately to test if the link is the issue my post wasn't getting posted.)
ETA: So now I'm totally baffled why my previous attempts didn't work. I had been copying and pasting the same thing over and over so there must have been something in the formatting or whatnot that was making the post…[Read more]

Working on: Dyeing yarn for fiber festival in April, knitting the final project for my book, talking to a local photographer about photos for my book (he's the husband of the owner of my LYS), getting the patterns for the book ready to send to the tech editor.
Going well: The first shipment of the yarn club went out last week and the response to…[Read more]

I tried to post yesterday, but whenever I hit Submit, it takes me to the top of the page and my post isn't there. I'm posting this to see if it's just me or just that post (I tried again just now and the post with my update doesn't work). Anyone else having problems?

Sorry @c-c-almon, I'm going to have to politely decline. I struggled at the festival last year, and had a bit of a crash afterwards. I'm already a bit nervous about a repeat, so am planning to spend Friday evening under a rock with some remedial knitting. I'll definitely pop past your booth.

Whatcha workin on?
I'm taking it easy today since the cold that will not end is kicking my ass. I went to studio time for my metalworking class yesterday, and I was so exhausted that when I got there, I felt like I was going to pass out. Not really good while working with sharp things and fire, so I went home and went to bed. I would really like…[Read more]

@tanja-osswald When I'm feeling like I should go back to bed, I can usually trace it back to one of these: I'm truly tired because I haven't been sleeping well, my inner introvert is wanting a break/rest, the weather has been gloomy / rainy / no sunshine for several days, or I'm actually suffering from mild depression.
If it's the first one, a…[Read more]
